Parent/Teacher Conferences will be this week, Tuesday and Thursday, March 11 and 13. Conferences will be held from 4-8 p.m. each of those evenings. At the HS conferences are unscheduled so feel free to drop in whenever it is convenient for you each of those nights. There are two other events that will be held in conjunction with P/T conferences this week. There is College Planning Night for Junior parentson Tuesday night beginning at 7 p.m. in the HS Library. And on Thursday there will be a Town Hall meeting to discuss underage drinking beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium. I've attached a flyer with more information about this meeting.
Thursday, March 13 is also the date for our Student Council Blood Drive. It will be held in the gym from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Contact the HS office to make your appointment to give or walk-ins are welcome. We are having a friendly competition with Treynor HS to see which school can collect the most units of blood so we need your help to defeat our rival to the south.
Finally, Iowa Assessments will be given at the high school on Tuesday, March 18,Thursday, March 20, and Friday, March 21. We are required to give these important standardized assessments to all students in grades 9 through 11 so I hope we have great attendance that week. If a student misses any of the exams they will have to make those up.
It's warm and sunny today, hopefully a sign of things to come. This winter has worn on long enough. Hope to see you soon at one of our many events here at school this week.
