On Wednesday and Thursday students who qualify will be allowed a limited open campus. That means that they will not need to report to school until the block/period of their first test of the day and they may leave after the block/period of their last test of the day. The open campus can only be used to arrive late or leave early. Students may not leave and then return again during the day.
In order to be eligible for the open campus, students must have all school work completed and handed in, all make up work/test/quizzes, etc. made up, all fines paid, all library books returned or renewed, all detention time served or any other obligation they may owe to the school or one of their teachers taken care of. Staff is maintaining a list of students who do not qualify for open campus yet due to pending obligations.
Students who qualify for open campus and arrive late on Wednesday and/or Thursday should attempt to arrive just before a scheduled passing time so that they are not in the halls or at their lockers while students are testing. If students arrive early they may sit in the Commons Area until the passing time. Students who elect to leave early on Wednesday and/or Thursday need to leave the building and school grounds quickly and quietly. Students who elect to not use their open campus privilege will simply be in study hall.
Students should check with staff members to make sure they are eligible for open campus. If a student who is not eligible for open campus is absent without excuse on Wednesday or Thursday they may be assigned detention time up to the amount of school time missed.
